I like abusing people in chat while I play

well lots of input from one side of the fence than the other  most people here don't like the chat during the game -- i see that now -- its a shame people so self centred on winning they can't reach out and even  say hello to another human being ----sad--sad--  even in a 5 min game when your  opponent   is playing you can chat on their time -- makes no sense to me -- but then again i am a old guy --

I want to play chess. If I want to chat with people, I'll go to clubs or forums.

I dunno. Sounds like something a bot would say.

I'm definitely not keen on chatting during a game, no matter how long the time control. It's distracting, annoying if all you get is abuse, and all I really want to do is play the game not socialise. I'm exactly the same on the rare occasions I play OTB: happy to chat before and after a game, but not during one.

I have chat disabled, although I wish the setting also applied to Daily games too.

You can do that to daily games as well.

never realised you could actually disable chat, glad the option exists

I am a chatter; many times I won’t play a person unless they at least say hello. My thought is, if you aren’t there for the interaction… just play the computer, no chat necessary 👍🏽 Ego is really the only reason not to, my opinion.

I mean, if you have no problem losing on time on move 20 and before castling, then sure, chat away...

It's difficult to chat online honestly. My experience has been just rude people taunting me. They either lash out when they are losing, or type something nasty when they are or think they are winning. I had to turn it off. I used to like to chat after games, like send someone a cool line I had seen for them during or after the game, but no one has ever responded. Perhaps trying to form a group for people interested in post game banter would get you the result you desire. In game chatting may be a lost cause.

I was officially muted because some chat, probably there is some bot over some words, because the other option would be the other player the one who dennounced the chat, wich would be weird given that she/he? Opened with me the chat( i only chat on no time-3 days - games) ,and we were talking about chess performances regarding different days. And in my case i just said this day that having or not some substances makes me more focused,or just i cant play.

Im not answering anymore on this chat anymore even i have been unmuted lol. I asked the moderators with cordiality.

So yes i see a sense in chat on 3 days games. If i say sth and dosent answer,i dont insist. Not any game i chat. In one i ended friend with the other player, who was amateur as me . Like after a fight you know

In 3' games or 10" games is senseless as time is a big factor.

Anyway im just an amateur. And still.....going into Legends It seems. Tomorrow i shave myself and ask partner to pic me in honour of that ,well, achievement?

I need to cultivate my patient. Probably if i continue hooked to the game i will go to a club RL in the city i life now. I feel its the only practical way to improve, once known the rules of how to move.

Sometimes it may be language related  - I for example simply don't know all those chess words in English. So all my chat is thank you in the end of my game.
