Indeed. My first observation about any thread concerning Women in Chess by males is, they want female responses. Guys like chessfreak are just "wingmen". Soliciting blatant sexist, chauvinistic remarks to encourage this. Especially to have batgirl comment is like a ...er...dream come true to them.
I once commented on an forum dedicated to the most attractive women players today. It started out as innocuous, later became disjointed because it was viewed as sexist, objectifying them instead of simply acknowledging they were all world-renowned. Which wasn't true. I certainly respected their play as I have every lady I've played here on this site or elsewhere. I have my own thoughts, however old-fashioned it may be. But of course this latest trend in bringing up differences in gender is just ridiculous. Again, I think it's just a ploy by some to illicit more interaction. Egads.
