Will Fritz help me improve ?

Hi, I have Fat Fritz 17 which I bought for £50 but I have not installed it yet. Since joining chess.com i have found so much material to study to attempt raise my rating which is rather dismal owing to (I hope my Newness).
My question is fritz going to help me at all playing off line? After considering all the free apps available plus the tutorials that I am wading through will fritz add something that I may be missing please ( I do not wish to read- brainpower thank you).
Your serious advice would be welcome.

Another point is that I read in the forum many members have a free app called arena or similar app sitting on their desktop. Would this no be too much of a temptation when under great pressue playing live- also whould it be detected? ( I have no intention at all to do this as it takes away all satisfaction of winning and one cannot improve this way)

It's new. Most of us haven't tried it.
