As far as I know nothing has yet happend with Kramnik´s lawsuit vs chess.com. However now even New York Times writes that he has accused, or at least insinuated,
Hikaru of cheating.

That seems unlikely. Anyone can sue for anything but in order to sue successfully for libel in the United States, Kramnik, a public figure, would have to prove that the New York Times published their libelous statements knowing they were false and with malicious intent.

This means that he must prove that a libelous statement was made with prior knowledge that it was false or with reckless disregard of whether it was false, with proof of an expressed intent to harm his reputation.

That is a hard standard to meet.
