I mean, obviously he would reach 2900 being the best player in the whole world. He just needs to win a few games and there. He would be 2900.
Probably not 3000 though, but you never know.

His peak rating was 2882... only 18 points from 2900
That said, he'll probably never come that close again because of his rapid chess retirement
If Magnus does want 2900 he will have to dominate all chess apps and win every tournament flawlessly. Impossible >:<

He would need a remarkable regaining of youthful focus and enthusiasm. That he has maintained such a high standard while beating off contenders for many years is impressive enough.
