It seems like this is a very easy way to cheat
Will you please get rid of the Explorer link in live chess?

Wait, I don't have to learn openings anymore? This is great! Don't listen to them chess.com! God bless ya!

Is there a direct problem to this feature? I am confused.
Looking at an opening book while playing is considered cheating

I was wondering why a bunch of 800s have suddenly started knowing Budapest gambit theory

is this not an invitation to cheat
depends but why is it there
wtf
indeed

Is that a Daily game? Does the icon appear in other time controls? In Daily games it is perfectly legal to look at game explorers, annotated games, books, notes, anything but an engine while the game is in progress.

I wouldn't have made this thread if it was just in daily, I'm not that much of a newbie lol
No, it's in whatever this is called:
https://www.chess.com/play/online

Must be the website because I don't see anything on the app. No wonder I am getting massacred!!
yeah, on the website

Well even though this is an easy way to cheat, my opponents still don't know anything about how to face the Caro.

the entire discussion is revolving about how easy this makes it for people to cheat, was expecting the usual "Cheating discussions aren't allowed in General Discussion, here's the Cheating club: "
Just a blatant link to the explorer in "play" for no reason, takes you to the exact position with all the GM games.
It's been there for months. I remember someone complaining about it in the Chess.com Beta club thing but nothing's changed
Edit: Apparently this isn't clear, but I'm not advocating to delete the entire explorer feature; I just want the link to it in live chess removed. Simple enough?
