Is this a draw or is a mate possible? Black trying to promote, White to move:

Thats about as drawn as it gets.  But an engine will show it as white is winning.

Black is moving down the board.

The pawn is 1 square away from queening.

OP didn't put notation.  For all we know the pawn could be on a7.

Maybe it's a returning user who was insta-muted after their first post? But that seems weird.

I'd probably play Kc6, and of course start pushing the pawns. You can, for example trade your a pawn to win the d pawn, but by that time black's h pawn should be an equal rival to white's c pawn, so looks like a draw.

Oh, that's a new feature, cool, I just tried it out.

I was impressed he went after the king side pawns to give himself winning chances. He could have taken the a pawn and it'd probably have been a draw.
