In my last blitz game, my time ran out just after I captured my opponent‘s last pawn. I lost.... what?

The game record shows that the last black pawn was still on the board when you ran out of time so I guess you were just not quite in time with your last move.

Yeah, that‘s the only reasonable explanation. I had 0.1 seconds left and the last move was a premove. Seems strange they would program it that way. If you have 0.1 seconds left you apparently can‘t make a move.
Premoves deduct 0.1 seconds from your play clock
