with opening is better? king's gambit or queen's gambit

  • I would prefer the kings gambit, cuz there are some dirty tricks aganst the queens gambit like the albin countergambit, but if you know how to handle the countergambit then its completly fine to play the queens gambit

@Game of pawns sorry I don't understand your question. If you reach the Queen's gambit position say D4 D5 C4 then the slav and the QGD are the two main responses. What else will black play?

If Black plays the Slav, he doesn't need to know the GQD. If Black plays the QGD, he doesn't need to know the Slav. Why would you think that Black needs to know both of those openings to equalize?

Queen's gambit is objectively the better opening, but I've always preferred the King's Gambit. Muzio, Philidor, and Kiersiertzky (spelt it wrong) gambits are all super fun to play
