I was reading an article on this website, and this was printed in respects to an unrelated topic ... "the women's rapid and blitz title holder Anna Muzychuk"
Unbelievable! Then I do some google, (I know nothing about Chess leagues/federations, whatever) and find that yes, indeed -- chess can and is segregated by gender.
I'm not female (sometimes I wish I were), but I think I would feel offended by this decision. I'm mildly offended about it and im male! Basically, this is exactly what the league admin's say: "Women are not good enough to compete with men, so here is your own little chess league where you can play with girls alike so you can actually win. Have fun!" That's rude and sexist and tournament organizers should be ashamed of themselves.
I hear this Judith Polgot lady is pretty good and I see she beats men. Welp, if she can do it, girls can do it, cause she's a girl. WNBA, too. I dont watch the WNBA cause the basketball is inferior, but if a lady wants to play in NBA ill watch that, too.
