That is true. He knew he would get some slack, and posted it anyway. This tells me he wants the debate, which is fine. I hope he takes it to the appropriate area.
I am not sure what is funnier, a religous proslytizer on the forums with the avatar of "Einstein", or claiming you need religion to respect women when the truth is that religion is historically the largest organized force engaged in the oppression of women.
Believe me, the last thing I want to accomplish is to reopen the festering idiocy that seems to accompany any discussion about women and chess like an infectuous disease.
I came across this article during one of my many forays into the past. It was published a year before I was born so my compass may not be propery calibrated, but the fact that several "names" were quoted in the article gave me pause. Was condensation so much the attitude-du-jour and so ingrained that even the superlative women chess players of the day weren't immune to it?
Because this article is part of the evolving culture of chess, I thought I'd share it. Hopefully all pseudo-wits and half-wits will check their proclivities at the door.

I have to try this 1 more time; This is a middleaged man who knows he won't be with us much longer. Look at post 36, read it carefully. He's not attempting to incite an argument about religion. Cervik was the 1st one to criticize his feelings, and opinions about JESUS in post 38, and then hasn't been seen for another 65 posts, because he knows everything about the universe, including life and death, and women's rights. Einsteen has done nothing to you. You come to these sites for banter, and expression, and controversy. An elderly man, who's on his way out, says 1 thing, and you want to crucify him. When your done with that, don't forget to go run over some puppies for an encore. Your all a bunch of sick puppies, in love with your own opinions. I for one, would like to thank him, for his contribution to this site, and the friends he made, while here. I'm not sure if I'll have the same kind words for the rest of you, when your time comes to make peace with your creator!
