I think that if the World Champ wants, for whatever reason, (money prove he is the best, whatever) to agree to play an additional match for his title he should be allowed to.
It is no longer like it was in the olden days with very few players who could conceivably be the best players. Now waiting 2 years and then having a crap shoot tournament is way too restrictive.
If Bottom line is if Carlsen (assuming he wins) wants to play Aronian, Kramnik or Nakamura (who isn't even in the this candidates cycle) in a championship match for allot of money, FIDE shouldn't stand in his way.
