No specific knowledge on World Cup, but Tbilisi has been holding chess tournaments for a long time, I'm sure the conditions for a big event like this will be good. Once you're down to eight players (quarter-final), it's easier to serve spectators and players.

Does anyone have experience with live viewing of the World Cup? I am considering attending the event in Tbilisi for the semi-final and final rounds but haven't found any information about the viewing experience for live spectators to help me decide. The official website has nothing, and email correspondence with the even organizers has revealed only that live viewing is free and the spectators can buy food from the hotel.
Has anyone been to a World Cup or information about the event in Tbilisi?
