Sure, 2. ...Qg5 is worse for sure as it loses a queen, but this is certainly bad enough to never be played. happy.png

In Damiano variation you can go Queen e7, kicking the knight and getting the pawn back. Engine hates this, but mostly because you win a tempo on the queen. It's not as bad as just e4-e5 bishop to a6, and people might blunder in this unfamiliar opening.
