Kaynight, You never saw it coming because it is soooo small, lol.  As Americu has admitted, he does have a small dingus.  It's very funny that he thinks he can cure it with diet and excercise.  What's even funnier is that he tries to compensate his small stature by attempting to belittle others by using what he thinks are big words.  Which is quite pointless when they had indicated that they are not tracking the thread so they will never see it.

I think Americu beats Trigs for smallest dingus - it's probably concave, an "innie".

DjonniDerevnja

My worst opponents are computers, because I gets tired of losing all the time.

I think slug beats Edga Troll for personality and number of brain cells.

I'd rather be a man with no personality than a bitch with a weak comeback.

holy crap. i didn't realize that asking people who they prefer not to play against was some crazy offensive question to ask or that i'm a huge asshole with a small dick for suggesting that one would have such a preference as to who they would not enjoy playing against.

if i asked who you prefer to play against, would that still be considered offensive and worth trolling? i could obviously assume who you least enjoy playing against from your response.

no wonder i haven't posted on this forum for years lol. frigging trolls everywhere.

also, i swear there used to be mods actually moderating this forum years ago. i remember getting warnings for language even when i was being nice. i guess that's all gone now?

just looked up help and support and it says that they can't do anything because they:

"cannot police every word said between every member on the site - nor can [they] save every word of every chat in [their] database."

fair enough, but my only option is complete blocking of said trolls? i don't like that to be honest, but i guess i have no other choice.

goodbye trolls. it's been a...pleasure? no. more like a reminder of the general levels of stupidity that permeates the internet.

In that case, best if you started work on your comebacks.

question: is it strange for me to think that a chess forum should generally have better behaved members than other forums? i guess i kind of assumed chess would draw a more intelligent and open-minded group of people predominantly, but i guess i'm wrong.

i have more people blocked on this forum than any other one i have ever been on, and it's not even close.

Making exchanges is a valid way of playing, although it's annoyng as the OP says.

The worst, to me, are those players letting the clock run over just to not resign. This is quite a loser action. Anyway, I think there's lot of complains in internet chess. Maybe too much. I heard things like "resign, you lost the queen", or "you only have the king". Well, no one is oblied to resign. You can totally change the game. This happens in my last game until this post. It was quite especial... I was losing, because I lost my queen right in the move 17. Many would say "resign, you already lost". But I was able to reverte it. I even offered a draw to my opponent at move 72, but he declined. Well, I won the game.

Fair enough.

I only have 3 members blocked for being disconnectors. I don't watch the forum. Blocking such guys will not help anyway. They will not be able to send you private messages, challenge you, invite you to groups and tourneys, post notes on your wall and on your games and see your trophies. But they will still be able to see your forum threads etc.

AS for me, the worst opponent is an opponent who plays prophylactic chess.

The anonymity that internet forums provide is a godsend to Trolls everywhere. They are cowards with deep character flaws and crave the attention that their vile and odious outbursts provide.

You admit you are a "coward with deep character flaws and you crave attention" then? That's a step in the right direction if you want to get better.

For starters, next time you want to respond to me, say "Hey Étienne" rather than "Hey moron".

one of the worst opponents I have played against, starts pestering me by offering draws the moment I get into an advantage. And the advantage can be as simple as an open h file for the Rook. He would keep on offering draw till I accept. I hate such losers.

I believe they are breaking the rules if they are doing that. I don't know if there is any method of complaining about it to chess.com though. Frown

Playing a move automatically rejects a draw tough so whilst it is annoying and potentially distracting it isn't as though you have to keep actively declining the draw.

Robert_New_Alekhine

This brings back memories of playing NM GamavayevOleg in bullet...he just went to a BBOOORRRIRNNNG queenless ending on move 5.

On lichess you're allowed to ask for take backs even in rated games. I've had multiple opponents blunder and then repeatedly request take back and refuse to continue the game unless you grant it. Childish nonsense like that is far more annoying than my opponents play style. That being said I hate closed positions, those guys that try to lock up all the pawns early just to deadlock the game so they don't get outplayed tactically get on my nerves.

glamdring27

Definitely.  Being used to chess.com I didn't ralise lichess had takebacks when I played there until someone requested one.  I still won the game, but my immediate thought was "what is the point in us playing this game if you are just going to ask for a takeback when you make a bad move".  Needless to say after that game I disabled takebacks.

winston_weng

I really hate those people who pester you just because you're losing and those who let the clock run out because they don't want to resign X3

I don't mind takebacks, but only in obvious mouse slips. I have granted two so far, never had any more requests though :)
