Would you actually play tournaments with "Unorthodox" time controls?

So I'm planning to make a club (I'm not advertising!), where we would play tournaments with unorthodox time controls, like 3+1, 5+3, 8+0, 8+2, etc.
Bro make a time control where you get matched up according to your highest, overall elo.
