The kids wouldn't just get Judit's genes.  They'd also be half troll.

HAHAHAHHAHA.... That would be exciting tho, if they eventually become GMs and then they walk around OTB and comment on other people's live games.

If it's genetics that's on your mind, then consider your grandparents and the grandparents of Judith, if you want an indication of where things are going.

And the Polgar's are the product of daddy's theories on nurture.

wingtzun

There are plenty of other female chess players I would marry!Laughing

Well...maybe.  But there's a lot of competition.

Not as much for her. I'd say about 5-6 actually rival her. Excluding past actresses in their prime, perhaps Christina Cox, Eliza Dushku, Summer Glau, Laura Vandervoort, off the top of my head.

Mmm, you're right, I don't think I can win this one, it's a subjective matter. But she was voted as sexiest by Esquire.

@platolag excluding past actresses, that would be difficult to list or compare.

No. Marriage is overrated.

Absolutely.  By that age, they are already trained to be mean. manipulative, and demanding.

Better to find a young one.  With patience and kindness, you can almost tame them (but never forget their wild origin and that they may turn on you in an instant).  Many of them can be soothed with chocolate, flowers, and foot massages, but these are temporary in effect.

Men chase women like dogs chase cars:  it something we just have to do without knowing why, but we have no rational plan of what to do should we actually catch one.  We have plans, all right, but they seldom qualify as rational.

A lot like chess, when you think about it.

Now here's a healthy view of women.

Genetics is also a cooperative venture, remember.  So even if chess ability could be inherited, there would be a 50-50 chance the children would inherit YOUR ability, and not hers.

Don't forget recessive genes.  Parents frequently have children with much higher or lower IQ's than their own.   And even when kids do inherit their parent's genes for a particular ability, they often have no desire to follow in their parent's footsteps.  It'd be pretty tough to force kids to play chess well if they don't want to.

Now that sounds like "the confessions of an ignorant sexist".

Are you sure? I just found this ad in the newspaper:

"Strongest Female GM seeks Lancashire Lad to lie next to her in evenings to debate ad nauseum basic point values for the pieces. Must be stubborn and unwilling to admit wrong."

TheGrobe

Shoot..., if only I were from Lancashire.

pdela

have they have anything that make them little marriable?

TheGrobe

You mean like money?

I think so....

pdela

hahahah..

pdela

So what's the problem with her??
