YELLOW follow up squares are distracting

I find the new yellow square following up moves very distracting. What is the use of it? Chess.com please remove this un-necessary graphic.

does anyone know how one can contact chess.com and ask them why they have introduced this yellow square distraction

i just found out that it is possible to switch it off in the settings!

You can change it in your settings. Search for the posts on how to do it, it is too early for me to search for you.

Please note that your clock ticks down when it's your move. 

And when you become a little stronger, you will be able to just look at the position and instantly know who's move it is.   You won't need an last-move indicator nor a clock that is ticking down.
