YOUR IQ compared to" World Chess Champion" Garry Kasparov ..

Sort:

Addendum:

When scoring your results make the following adjustments:

If you believed this was anything close to a real IQ test deduct 50 points.

If you believe Kasparov took a similar test to which you're comparing yourself deduct another 50 points.

If you believe Kasparov excelled at chess due to his IQ deduce some more!

Actually this test is quite leget. It reminds me of the Miller analogy test I had to take in Graduate School.

It's 10 questions long, it's gives you an IQ score, and it says you're comparing yourself to Kasparov.  Dig a little deeper with the comparison guy.

It's as unimpressive there as it is here.

Although I'm sure the book it came from makes for a fun read.  I guess I'm approaching this with a much too serious mindset when it's just meant to be for fun :)

Waffleguy, I just said "it reminds me of", I didn't say "it is like". I bet you flunked reading 01, smart arse.

Except that the post wasn't a whimsy on what things made you think of other things.   You prefaced it with: "Actually this test is quite legit" which I took as a response to my post, right above yours, which disparages the test.

So in effect you were saying the tests are similar (which is what gives it legitimacy in the face of my questioning it).

waffllemaster

Of course again, I'm taking this a bit too seriously when it's meant to be for fun.  The questions remind me of actual test questions too.  It's the rest of the post that... is just too silly for my taste I guess.

I got 6/10, but only because I went too quickly on some of them. I thought question 7 had to do with capital cities and answered Bombay. Of course, Rio de Janeiro is not a capital city. I also thought question 5 was a Fibonacci sequence, but 8 and 13 don't add up to 22.

I had 6 out of 10 too ! Then i had to deduct one because i missed question #2 at post 69 . Then When I missed it again Echecs06 humiliated the little child in me so much that I had to take off another.

Now with 4 out of 10 I did not know where to turn. I couldnt ask AnthonyCG all he thinks is if you write your nome and your score should be 160 lol.

I was going to ask electric pawn but he lives in a cave with his cloak. When he took it he thought it was fun but later he thought it was a sex test geesh!

Then to my delight Echecs06 came to the rescue and said I could cheat. I guess that was OK cause Kaoi was on vacation and she wouldnt know ! Tongue out

With my 10 points and self esteen intact I continued to text and read. I was dismayed when walkitdown cussed and waffle hum bug dissed the test :(

I was 5 points angry and now I was 5 out of 10 again ... Since then I read Elona and Lisa V who were so much fun that I gave myself a point for feeling better.

Now I am 6 out of 10 right back to where I started YIPPY !Wink

SirVicious

If you can answer seven of my questions correctly.
I would say you have a grandmaster's intellect!

Yeah but if you answer seven of the easier IQ test's questions correctly then you have a super-GM's intellect.

SirVicious

lol...

This is not meant to be a realistic representation of anyones intelligence. I have chosen these questions only for funs sake.   I selected the username SirVicious not because i think of myself that way. But,because i'm a fan of Cowboy Bebop!

"Yeah but if you answer seven of the easier IQ test's questions correctly then you have a super-GM's intellect."

"easier" the questions are ridiculous!

jplex1

i got 6 right and an iq of 124, but many questions can be answered in different ways to get different results...

SirVicious

Feel free to post the answers to the questions you think you have answered!

I will tell you if you have the right answer!

There is a definitive answer to all but two questions.

MsJean

#2 is 21,30

Is it a+(x/b) = c or (a+x)/b = c?

Lassie is the only doggie, but Pinocchio is the only wooden, Paul Morphy...I didn't think he had a big nose nor was he a doggie nor wooden, that make him odd.  Then again one of them was French...ah the french connection... Paul was Louisianaianese which has something to do with France while Pinocchio was Italian.  Collie's are British, I think, therefore Pinocchio was on the losing side of WWII and we are around that D-day time.

Isn't Yury a strength conditioning coach for the Bulgarian olympic lifting team?

The other test is more accurate I have to say unbiasedly.

dannyhume

#7 is Bobby Fischer.
