No way! I went directly to the link you posted. Answered the questions and left the site. And, didn't look over the answers at any time! I immediately began to create my own test afterward!

Until you mentioned it. I didn't realize that the answers had been posted!

this test only gives crystallized intelligence subscore and prompts you to purchase the rest of the subscores. (i dont really care about crystallized intelligence. i was more interested on how i stacked up on the fluid intelligence relative to the people who took that test.)

i got a 147 (155 max) Ciq (99.3% on that test)  which i got presumably due to my 4 years of latin and vocabulary focus.

well, that was a fun distraction.

I hope you didn't send the IQ company your info, but if you did, let me know how that "enhancement" system works and how much it costs.

IQ is idiot nonsense. It's a joke. There is no relation between IQ and intelligence anymore than there is between your skill playing Sonic 2 and intelligence. All it takes is practice. The fact people are so dim as to think it means something boggles my mind. I suppose some less sharp individuals are going to make some ad hominem attack against me now... it's the emperor's new clothes type of scenario.

Note: Kasparov did not endorse this test, did not endorse the concept of IQ and has nothing to do with this. It's ridiculous to just slap Kasparov's name on it because he was led into doing some IQ test at some point.

My friend... it was posted just to do for fun. Thats all. Smile

It seems to me that the simple fact that you can study for an IQ test defeats the purpose of the test itself and its meaning behind it.  I also think it is amusing that laymen believe if you are good at chess you must be very smart.  I sit back and read articles, watch television ads, and wonder how people can possibly believe in any of this stuff.

"Have a cold? Ask your doctor about Triptoxican today!  Side effects may include ass bleeding, blindness in both eyes, flu like symptoms, thoughts of suicide, and forgetting what your own mother looks like."

Then I get online and read about something like Chiropractic, Homeopathy, etc.  They have very large Wikipedia pages saying many things.  There are so many resources about them, so many products, so many claims, so much information, but when you get right down to it, they are sold by quacks.  Charlatans.  Scammers.

So much fake in the world.  That's why I like Chess.  You can't fake Chess.  You can't Photoshop out a pawn when your opponent isn't looking.  Try and make a claim that isn't true and you'll be shot down by the rules that make up the game.

Oh well, that ends my minor rant.  Back to lurking.

And a high quality well worded rant at that. But you will have to practice some... There are some real professional ranters here..:)

mmmmm lurking could be good ...Dont let Tryst catch ya !

dunce

I took an IQ test when I was a kid and scored 90. On this test, I scored 151.

After thinking about it, I realized that both scores are accurate. I just have multiple personality disorder. One half of me wants to work at NASA, and the other half is Paris Hilton.
