150 games in progress?!

I have exactly 120 games in progress. When I opened an open seek I got such a message:

You are not allowed to accept open seeks with over 150 current games. You can still create your own seeks, join tournaments, or join team matches.

Why is it so? Is there a mistake in counting my games in progress? Or is there a problem with the message?

I believe this is a bug -- I've seen a number of posts about discrepancies in people's game counts.

I've synchronised your game stats, the correct amount you are currently playing is 151 games in progress

Yes, but I believe my number of 120 is correct. When I count I get something close to it.

Really? I can't believe that! I had about 100 just a week ago. Amazing growth out of a few team matches :)

Do you actually pay attention to each of them?

I played against a guy who had well over 400 games going.  I can't fathom how anyone can keep up with so many games.  If I go over 20, I'm overwhelmed.

It's actually counter-productive to play so much games if you want to learn something (or if you want to have any personal life). You need to make plans, evaluate positions, train your calculation, etc., not jush push wood.

My stats are wrong too, it says 13 but it is more like 25.

I have just started those 400 games, I used to have 100, maybe 120. I'll see how it goes for a longer time.

My busiest current opponent is playing 478 games at the moment.  It looks like they are all at least 3 days per turn, as he seems to play a move in a third of them each day.

It's probably a response to players taking on too many simultaneous games and ending up abandoning them.  I suppose the thinking must be that premium members have already demonstrated their commitment.

I'm playing against this guy currently, he manages by having autovacation kick in every day....
