I think I have 2 accounts w/chess.com using the same email because I saw another name I use on a friend's page.  How do I squish the accounts together using my chess.com name or alternatively tell FB to use my chess.com name?

From your Chess.com app in facebook, click on “Account” from the top menu bar. 

On the bottom left, click on "Merge Facebook/Chess.com Account"

 Follow the prompts and they will merge.

When I came back to chess.com it was logged in under my FB login, so something happened =/

Something odd happened, your Facebook account is no longer associated with facebook 

Can you log into the Chess.com app?

That did it.  It then said 'we're intregrated login w/your chess.com login' and I did and it works now, thanks Blackenne!
