The draw button becomes a, "Claim draw' and click that to claim it!

guys, im the guy who defeated Mr. Leniu,, who is insisting to me a draw and a 50moves rules,,as i read all your comments,, i"ve been notice that he is not really understand the 50 moves rules.. when we are playing,, i never never give any word to him,but when my rook captured his queen,,his keeping on talking,,his trying to loose my concentration on the game,,trying to insist me about the 50 moves rules, which he cannot understand,, i told him,, be a sportman,,accept your mistake,,but instead of accepting that i defeated him,,his telling bad words to me,,even to his post message his telling bad words to me,, his crying like a baby,,, cannot accept his mistake. i can give up the game or i can press the draw or resign button to stop him to crying eventhough i know i will win the game but for that kind of person,,i cant do that. to all of you guys,, this is only a game,, be a sportsman,, we are just passing our time, and we must accept our mistake not to blame anythings. thank you..

Dennis, here's how the moves should be counted:

The penultimate capture was when white played 66.Kxg6.

The first move without a capture was completed when white played 67.Qg1+

...

The tenth move without a capture was completed when white played 76.Ke2.

...

The fiftieth move without a capture was completed when white played 116.Ke6.

At this point Leniu should have claimed a draw; he did not even have to move since 50 moves were completed. It was a bad idea for him to move ("I just moved anywhere assuming that it will be a draw after I complete my 50th move") at this point; if the game did not have an obvious way to claim a draw, he should've contacted support for help.

Formally, failing to properly claim a draw is not an excuse, and once the game progressed on, the ability to claim it was gone. In an OTB tournament, if he moved and pressed the clock without claiming a draw, he would not be able to make any more claims since your next move was a capture.

Since it appears clear that he did intend to claim the draw, and his claim would be valid if properly submitted, it is really up to you whether to accept a draw offer or not.

I suppose that whether or not you're inclined to do so, depends on the overall exchange you guys had in the chat and am not going to suggest what to do.

Staff isn't likely to step in, the draw should have been claimed.

You are absolutely right Mr. LegopirateSenior,,my opponet was insisting to me it was a draw after 50 moves nor captured any pawn but it depends also on me  if i will agree with him. you know this guys is so talkative,,im not chating with my opponents when we are playing to gives us respect and concentration on the game but his saying bad words to me,, so off course i will reply. and he told me he forgot to press the DRAW BUTTON because he is using his mobile,,his making excuse about his mobile. you know i love this sports,,for me im just passing my time here,,because im far away from my home.. If im defeated by anyone,,i accept it in the button of my heart cause im the one who played it not anything. And the way his posting his message,, is like his rating is 2000 above,,,and i dont understand why he cannot accept his mistake,,, thanks for the reply and explanation, MR. legopiratesenior.

Im not sure whether its a language barrier or if you're just autistic, but you clearly are missing the point - after 50 moves you have no CHOICE in the draw, i have the RIGHT to claim it - i was just not able to because of the mobile device. Like I said, enjoy playing Chessmaster in round 2 [Watch your language - Moderator.]

Do you think I didn't claim it on purpose, thinking I will still win and then suddenly when I lost my rook I was like "hey now I want a draw!". No. The game never gave me a chance to claim the draw, there's a difference.
