502 Bad Gateway errors

Having a lot of 502 Bad Gateway errors today.  Hoping this means interruptions in service due to upgrades, and not some serious problem on my end.

I've also been having trouble today.  I've found refreshing the webpage seems to work, though.  Hopefully staff tells us what's up.

Yep, at one point though instead of the dreaded "502 bad gateway" message I got the Chess.com "we're working hard to improve the site notice".  All water under the bridge now since everything seems to be back up and running.

We should be out of the woods now. Sorry for all the chaos...

Hmm, yeah, same.

From experience I can tell you though, that 502 isn't as much of a problem on your end as it is a server error. In fact, 5xx are server errors.

Definitely not fixed! I saw "bad gaitway" 5 times in the last 3 minutes!

Sorry triple post due to bad gateway when I tried to post.

I've seen this before. Running retarded SQL queries (PHP and MySQL) that bog down the server into oblivion accomplishes exactly this. That's my bet, anyway...

Got the same thing, just closed my browser and reopened it and it was fixed.

I got a Bad Gateway Error and thought something was wrong with my server... but now I realize it's just chess.com.

My "502 - Bad Gateway" has been replaced with a "503- Misspent Youth" error!!
