A new unread comment

I often get an e-mail from chess.com that says: "- You have a new comment to read!". Strange thing is that I only get those for comments that I posted in the forum myself. Every time I post something, I get such an e-mail. When someone else replies to messages I posted, I never get an e-mail.

This cannot be the intention, can it? Why on earth would I want to read comments I just posted myself?

Is this a bug in the chess.com forum software? Or is it a setting that I have to change somewhere, that I can get an e-mail if someone answers to my post, instead of when I post something myself?

In settings - alerts I see ticks for alerting when a new comment is posted in content I track. Guessing that's what you want.

Notmtwain beat me to it. :/

Well, the option I need does not seem to be there. It seems there is an option to automatically track content I post in (which I have on), and one for notifying me when a new comment is posted in content I track (which I also have on).

These options do not work, though. Because I never get e-mails when a new comment is posted in a discussion where I posted before. I only get the e-mail when I post there myself. (Which seems useless under all conceivable circumstances.)

I click:

to see the threads I have posted in and the ones I have started.

I sure don't want more emails.
