Abandon game bug?

So I am keep getting this problem over and over on games and losing points for nothing. The problem occurs when i am like on middle of game and i finish my turn to wait for the opponent to play but when it looks like he is abandoning the game it totally turn to be the other way around when in the end it shows that it’s me who abandoned the game. I tried on many wi-fi, tried to reinstall, update and nothing works so it seems a general bug or is it just me 🙁.

If you're on the iOS app there's a known bug on a couple of versions that can impact some games. 4.7.17 or higher has a fix for the bug.
about 1 out of 7 games I get a message that comes up and says - game abandon and I lose. happens all the time there may be a trojan that people are sending to people there playing chess on chess.com that causes this. i have a secure stable internet connection so the issue is either a trojan or chess.com. I am most always ahead in a game when this happens and it is down to the last crital move.

Your opponent's can't impact your connection. The clients never directly connect to each other so your opponents can't get your connection details even if they wanted to try something like that.
