Abandonment vs Resignation

I have noted that my opponent shows “reconnecting” immediately after a major blunder (e.g. losing a Queen) and ultimately the game is ended through abandonment. I have a few questions: does the “winner” get the same amount of points for resignation and abandonment “wins”? Is there a system thing going on that one may manipulate to make it look like they are reconnecting? Please no snarky comments about how I am a terrible player - I know that and am learning. Be nice 😊

The amount of points is the same regardless of how a win/loss occurrs.
