Ad issue

Hi, I'm using safari, and a certain ad is being annoying. WHenever I get this ad (which is over half the time) I can't scroll up or down on the screen, even if I click "close"

It says "Choose your FREE CARD" and "5 dollars free with first load"

if you can screenshot that ad, please do so we can report it and kill it. very sorry!

it seems that this has been a continuing issue (not for me anymore because i use adblock).  since the ads are sponsored by google, would it be possible for chess.com to go directly to google with the problem?  or is that what you do anyway?

Well, I reported the ad (and mottsauce, it is not the first time this has happened to me, so you're right, it is a continuing issue) and it went away. If something like that happens again, I will post it into this thread.

removed it today? because i got it this morning.

i get it all the time too. almost every day on IE, often on the daily puzzle (or TT) because it's the first place i go, but not on the home page. need to refresh the page 3x for it not to come back. when i see it again, i'll post it.

happened again today. the popup ad didnt show but the script is still disabling scrolling. fixed after refreshing 3x.

Hi, I have the same problem. Whenever one of the ads ("Get your new screensaver.." or something. theres a picture of a lion on it anyway) pops up on the top of the screen I suddenly can't scroll down. doesn't matter if I use safari or firefox.

Is there anything we, as just normal members, can do to avoid this? or is it all up to the staff?

The avatar ad also does the same...
