Adjust Play Online settings on the Home Screen

The play online settings has changed from 10m to 3d after I started a 3d game with a friend and can not figure out how I changed it or how to change it back. Consequent I have inadvertently started many 3d games which I've had to abort once they've been accepted because I don't know how to find and cancel my existing challenges. So a double problem but fixing the first eliminates the cause of the second.

Create a new Custom Game when creating a seek and it should remember the last setting.
Yeah, tried that with several 10m games but it's stuck on 3d games. I'm wondering if it won't allow me to switch back while the 3d game(s) are active.
