Ads randomly opening while I am playing

Hey, has this happened to anyone else? When I am playing or in chess.com/live every few minutes a random ads just opens in a new tab. Like I am not even clicking on anything but in the middle of a game, the tab just opens up and it takes me to that tab which is really annoying, especially when playing blitz or bullet when you have low time. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

So far it has only happened once, but still has me sketched out that my PC has a bug

Glad I'm not the only one to be having this issue. Unfortunately I don't have a solution either so I really hope this gets addressed soon.

Staff are aware of reports of this happening and are looking into it.

Bullet is unplayable because of this, I get up to 3-4 a GAME

yea it got rly bad for me as well now
at first it was only like 1-2 every few games but now it's happening every game

Happening to me as well. Sometimes like once every 2 minutes.

Yes, started today. A new tab after every move.

Click the X in the top right, and report it as "Ad Covered Content". Chess.com will quickly fix it once they start losing advertising dollars.

I am facing the same issue. It's a very weird experience.

@Martin_Stahl Why do I have to find the answer to this buried in the comments of an invisible thread? Why can't you tell people on the front page that staff is aware of the problem? Unfortunately, I'll never know when it's fixed because I'll be at Lichess. #unaccepatable

Yeah, this is BS. I rarely play here anymore but this sure as hell isn't helping the cause Chess.com

It happens to me, kid you not 20~ times a rapid game. Actually unplayable.
