Advert despite being a premium member

Why am I seeing a large advert for ChessUp on my chess.com home page? As a premium member I should see no adverts.

That is a partnership between the site and the board creator. That type of promotion is not part of the no advertising for premium.

The membership plans page just says “No Ads”. There are no exemptions mentioned that I can see. This is the page upon which I made my membership purchase decision. The fact that you can pluck a support article from the depths as an excuse seems to be lacking transparency to me.

The exemption for site related banners/ads has been there since I have been a member. It used to only be on the Today page ( the old main homepage) and now it's on the member homepage. It's usually about events and occasionally about things like partnerships. I think once you close it on a device, it won't show for that particular promotion.

That said, you could contact support directly using the Help menu to provide feedback about it.
