Alerting Opponent

ok...thanks for the info...also, I realize now, that if I'm logged off, I will get an email alerting me that my opponent has made a move and that it's my turn.

I think that players should know when it is time to move in their games according to agreed time controls. With that said, keep playing for fun!

I got it figured out now...but for newbies to this site (like myself)...it is reassuring to get an email... eventhough (as you have most explicitly expressed) that we "should know" that we must make at least one move within those 3 days (my time allowance preference).
That alert email tips us off that we are free and clear to make our next move without waiting the full three days...That way, for some of us, who do have a full schedule with work and other activities, can stay "on top" of the chess situation...
Just IMHO

Hi There: I'm new to this website. Is there a way to automatically alert or send an email to my opponent once I have made my move? I generally play a slower game making 1 move every day or 2.
I would appreciate your help on this one....
Thanks,
Greg
