Alerts?

How do I view "alerts"? If you answer this please be specific (menues, etc.)

You  click on them, I'm not sure how specific you need... 

MY HOME >> Account >> Alerts & Email Settings.

I'm sorry but I still can't seem to access "alerts".

On my home page I click on "alerts" and also "read" but nothing happens.

I also went to "my home/account/alerts and email settings" and can see how to change settings but I don't see the alerts themselves.

Normally when you read 'New Comments' do you click on the Alert that appears top right corner or do you read them from the center section on your homepage?

I click on "Alerts" in the top right corner. Nothing happens. I also have tried "read", still nothing.

There is nothing about alerts in the center section of my homepage.

See the Alert on the image below?  Now look at the section under your username, where it says 'New Comments'.

That Alert relates to that new comment. If you click on the Alert box where it says 'Read', the page directs you to that new comment area of your homepage.

(I know you can clearly see it, but some members have a huge list of unread new comments).

Note here, that if you have viewed the new comment either by going straight to the forums or by clicking where it says 'Font Size' in the New Comments area, the Alert may remain even though you can't see any New Comment.
