Today my Motorola Android stopped connecting to online chess, I keep getting a "Sorry, no active connection I/O" message.

Anyone have any ideas why?

Just wondering - should we all get the new version or only if we have that problem?

Probably I should get it anyway but ... am curious what Erik's advice is.

Oh? What are the new features?

When you have active games, and an opponent moves, you now get an alert notifying you someone has moved. Just like when you get a text. No more checking the games list to see if anyone moved.

Erik, I have the same problem but can't pick up new version as my Android market is UK specific. Could you make it available for download somewhere on chess.com too? Really enjoy using the app. Thanks Simon

you can download the latest version here:

Thanks a million!

& showing the most recent move when you open a game is cool.  Do we have that as an option on the web site?  I think not ... maybe worth adding?

... but I guess the highlighted squares perform the same role.  Just ignore me :-)
