app vs website

Not bashing the app. Perhaps my brain. I joined about a month ago and only used the app. I was googling some stuff and clicked on a link that was a chess.com website. Lo and behold I clicked on it and it did not open the installed app but the website. I had to log in and wow. Am I missing half the app somewhere? Serious question really. I just can’t find a lot of the website via the app. So just curious. It’s easy enough to make a shortcut along with the app on my phone but I just had to ask if I’m seriously missing how to use the app. If you wonder I was looking for a user to ask about coaching. The website has a coaching area. The app?

The website has always offered a lot of features that aren't on the apps.
