Arena ends a game in progress

This has happened to me a few times. I've been in a completely winning position, but when the arena time ends, the game is cancelled giving no player a win, loss, or draw for that matter. This is very upsetting.

What i would like to suggest as a fix to this is allow the game to be played out until a decision is reached over the board, however not giving the players their points in said arena.

I definitely concur, games started before arenas end should be finished and counted as a game, but not counted for Arena if the clock ran out for the tournament.

Exactly. Players can just wait out their clocks. 

This should definitely be changed. I was playing someone who was ranked over 300 points above me and I was in a completely winning position. The victory would have been my highest ranked opponent. I was very close to checkmate too roughly mate in 5. Opponent just waited for the arena to end. 

I find that I am unable to offer a draw in these situations if less than 20 moves have been played, so that is not always a viable option.
