Is it a chess board? Anyways, usually it takes a day or two, I think, to see your avatar change. I remember on my first day on this site I changed my avatar but nothing happened until I logged on the next day.

Thanks for the replies but note that it was not a refresh problem......F5 or Ctrl+R did not work nor did logging off and logging back on. However, today, two days later, the revised avatar is showing (see above).
Not a big deal but wondered why it did not show almost immediately.

I changed my avatar yesterday and it shows on my home page but not in my public profile or on new posts.
