Avatar not being the same in Live Chess as it is elsewhere.

I've waited a day, and it seems to be working fine now. In Live Chess, my avatar appears a red 'A' against black. So that's good! I just had to wait it out 
um... yes.. it takes a while to refresh... I still see the old book cover avatar... for me I remember it took less than 1 day to replace avatars... but a few hours at least.
Currently, my avatar on my profile and the avatar that shows on the Online Chess/Live Chess recent games is a red 'A' against a black background.
Yet when I log on to Live Chess to play a game, it shows my avatar as the cover to The Catcher in the Rye, my original avatar.
It did this a separate time as well: I changed my avatar to a red 'A' against a white background and it showed up, as it should, on the Online Chess/Live Chess resulsts and my profile. Yet when I played on Live Chess, it showed my avatar to be a red A' against a black background.
If that's confusing, here it is in a nutshell:
My original avatar was the book cover for several months. Today, I first changed it to the red 'A' against black. Everything worked fine, including playing Live Chess. Then I wanted to change it to a red 'A' against white. I went to play Live Chess only to find that my avatar didn't change. Ok, I thought, maybe it takes a bit of time. So I waited a while, and still no change. I decided I like the red 'A' against black best, so I went to change it. Everything worked except Live Chess. I go to play a Live Chess game, and it shows me with my original avatar, the book cover! I'm not sure why.
Any ideas guys? Thanks.
