Possibly it is just too late.
The translation work has started a while ago, so maybe the Italian version (I assume you want to translate in that language ?) is almost done and they don't take new translators.
But again, that's just an assumption.

Unfortunately you need (as a basic member) to have been a member on the site at least 2 months before you can become a translator.

Isn't Hindi language availible on chess.com... i mean its also a major language..

In the meanwhile, on Facebook, because I have many Chinese friends, I use "Google translate" a lot to blog simultaneously in English and Mandarin. The secret is to write simple, logical English, and the Google translation will be 90+% accurate.
Conversely, some friends write to me in Mandarin, and I use "Google Translate" to convert to English, and honestly, I have not had problems.
I want to ebcome a translator, but "The system cannot authorize you to become a translator. If you think this is an error, please contact support."
