Yeah he blocked me too, because I called his behaviour childish. I think he's only proving me right. Apparently if you disagree you're not allowed an opinion.
I'd also like an option to stop the tracking of those threads.

:-)
The OP of that topic gave a big lecture to his opponent on how losing on time out does not diminish the loss. Funny that he thinks that he has won an argument by blocking those who do not agree with him !
Obviously he is in the habit of blabbering before thinking. That's why he needs to edit the contents of his posts so frequently. And instead of correcting himself by making another post which a mature person would do, he simply changes contents of old posts !
I will block him - perhaps I'll stop getting those alerts. I'll report back when I get a proof either ways.
Staff may already be following this thread and working on a solution.
Nobody has the right to hurt others. Keep your personal opinion to yourself if it is hurting others. Don't miss use public forums
Asking not to hurt others is hurtful? Oh my good God.....
Weren't you complaining about blasphemy 21 minutes ago?
you can control what "alerts" you get by navigating to "account" and then "alerts". there's also a little box with "track this forum topic" on the bottom of the pages which you can click, it will uncheck it. and then you don't get the comment alerts.
You don't have a tick box to untrack the thread if the user has blocked you from posting.
That can be very irritating, suggest you contact staff.
This is the first time I see you post something that is kind-hearted.
Really the solution is that the originator of a thread should not be allowed from blocking people who post in it. Look at that thread now. e4nf3 is a seriously disturbed individual and everytime anybody responds telling him that he is wrong, he says "No you are wrong because [stupid reason]" and then blocks them from responding. It makes the entire site look crazy.
And @e4nf3 appears to have a buddy in NM @Reb, which lends a patina of credibility to @e4nf3, unfortunately.

Actually he looks crazy. The site is ok looking.
If you block a member, he cannot message you and he cannot leave a note on your page. That's understood.
But does it also block him from making a comment in a forum topic started by you?
I am having a rather piquant situation. In a forum discussion (Cruel of Me?) the OP made some remarks and then edited them. He called one participant in that discussion a lout but then edited it out. He keeps calling his opponent with whom he is cheesed of, a worm. Now he is asking "where did I say that" - but I can't respond as the comments section is not available to me suddenly. I suspect I have been blocked by him. I can live with that. But what I find specially irritating is that any new comment in that topic results into an alert for me! So while I can't make a comment of mine, I am forced to take some action on that alert.
I am able to comment in other forum topics - so it means it is not some temporary glitch on the site.
If the behaviour of blocking is by design, then it should also take care of the alerts.
