Board is greyed out when making a variation

Heyo I know this thread is definitely inactive, but in case anyone else stumbles upon this the only way to get rid of the greyed-out board is to delete the variation line from the analysis. (Done by right-clicking the first variation move and then hitting delete).

After I finish a live game, if I make a move to start a variation (when analyzing the game) the board gets greyed out. Now this makes sense because it is indicating that a new move was made, however even if I go back to the original moves the board permanently stays greyed out / washed out. How can I fix this?
