If YOU see the "Connection interrupted ... reconnecting" message on YOUR screen, YOU are the one who is disconnected. When YOUR system finally reconnected, it must have actually been YOUR clock that had been running, despite anything you saw on your screen. Once a connection is interrupted, distrust anything the two clocks say UNTIL your connection is restored. Separated from the server, the clock information can be relatively meaningless.

Dear Chess.com,
I just had tthe same experience as I had reported yesterday.
Again, I was playing blitz (5min) against "bethebest10" when suddenly 'Connecion interrupted. Reconnecting'..that was the message on my screen. I was in a better position than bethebest10, his clock showed 2:20 when started counting down. It was counting down until his clock showed 0:52 when it was reconnected. You know what happened? Suddenly his clock showed 2:38, which is better than before the interruption, and wala....my clocked was cut down to 1:50. Well you know the end of the story. I lost again due to insufficient time.
Could some expert from Chess.com explain this 'phenomena'? Even better if the expert eradicate the problem immediately. Thank you. Harsono Pranoto
