I don't know if the bug can be fixed but when you have to type a long note you can write it in notepad first and then copy-past it.

I was actively typing in my "notes" box for a game (online chess) when my opponent made his move. The screen refreshed and I lost ALL my notes. Is there any way that this bug can be fixed? It is most annoying.
