Bullet 2:1 can't see opponent's moves or when it's my turn

I finally tried playing bullet games and I find out the pieces transport themselves, but that's not the problem. The problem I'm having is not seeing where they moved, the highlighted square is too light I can't barely tell. So I have to stop and press the back and forward buttons (on desktop) to see where the last move played. In a 2-minute game this is too time-constrained to waste another half a minute on looking to see where the opponent moved. Is there a way to make it more obvious in the settings, or maybe it's my theme? Am I the only one who has this issue.

Hey @SwavZielin — you're not the only one who's run into this! Bullet is already intense enough without having to guess where your opponent just moved 😅

It sounds like the issue is most likely due to your board theme or highlight colour settings. Here’s what you can try:

✅ Steps to Make Moves Easier to See:

  1. Go to SettingsBoard & Pieces

  2. Choose a higher contrast board theme like “Blue,” “Tournament,” or “Dark Wood.”

  3. Scroll down to "Move Highlight Colours" and pick something bold like yellow or red — it helps for visibility.

  4. Under "Piece Animation", make sure animation speed isn’t set to “None” or “Instant.” A short movement helps track what just happened.

These tweaks should make your opponent’s last move and whose turn it is much more noticeable in fast games.

I've applied some of these changes in settings, and I've found playing bullet games on the app is easier to spot opponents' moves than desktop so that works whenever I play in this format.
