i don't use the "cancel" button...i don't even know where it is.
Cancel move-piece dissappears

ahhh. yeah i don't use that button. i just click on the board somewhere and it resets the piece. i use firefox also.

Ask Baseballfan he works for the site, and he is pretty good about answering problems

if you know a bit of javascript programming, you will know that there is no two browsers that behave alike - the programmer has to accomodate for each and every browser by writing conditional statements - this problem existed back in the time when netscape browser was born, and still persists. Actually the problem has increased. Now IE6,IE7, IE8, (Netscape is now almost gone), Opera, Firefox, Google Chrome - the web developer has to code and test with each and every browser. Give them a break!

You can't take back a move, so why bother canceling?
Canceling occurs after you make a move, but before you click the Submit button.

Thank you for all the advice!
And yes, zlhflans, sometimes you make a move on the screen, then cancel because you see a better move.
I generally use opera because I can open multiple tab windows at once. That means I can open a window to make chess moves and another for the forums and another for my email or other page on the net.
I've been having a problem. When I make a move on the board, then decide to cancel the move by clicking the cancel button, the piece I cancelled dissappears from the board. The only way to show it again is to refresh the page.
I've actually lost some games because the piece dissappears and I forget about it and make another move. Anybody else having that problem? I'm using Opera for my browser.
