Canceling Membership

Hey there, I love chess.com and sadly am not as active as I use to be, so having a diamond membership is something I don't need presently.

I just canceled the reoccuring yearly payment, which is on Aug. 10th, and I simply remembered to do it a day late (Today). Now when I go into the help & support tab, and then into the "Canceling Premium Membership" It gives me an error on my profile (as that is where the link takes me) saying "No premium membership detected". Meanwhile I clearly as of this moment have a diamond beside my name.

When going into the "account" tab under "HOME" it says that my subscription is diamond and will last a lifetime?

Rather confused... Could use some help from staff or a member that knows what they are doing, haha. Thanks.

As to why you still have a diamond next to your name - you already paid yesterday.  You just cancelled the renewal (scheduled for next year), not your current membership.  Since you are now already scheduled to NOT be renewed, trying to cancel it again won't do anything - which is probably why you are getting the error.  There's no more premium membership to cancel.

As to saying it will last a lifetime, I'm not sure what that is about.  I'm thinking that you *currently* have a diamond (since you paid yesterday), but the payment plan you are scheduled to be on (once your current year is up) is the *free* account, which will last indefinitely.

Now, if you want to fully remove the diamond membership and get a refund of the money you already spent, then you should take this to an official ticket.
