Play Chess Against the Computer:Cannot change level from Beginners to either Medium or Hard?

Recently when playing against the computer I try to change the level from Beginner to either Medium or Hard it doesn't change but stays always in the Beginner level. Does anyone else have this problem and if so how can it be resolved? Thanx!!
