The site doesn't use Flash. If you are, or have recently, loaded the site from Facebook, it is a known issue and is being worked on.
If you clear your cache and cookies and load the site from www.chess.com then it should work.
Cannot see chess board in live chess

I just cleared my cache and cookies and went to chess.com. same issue.
I hate this issue. I miss playing. I have the same problem.
My chessboard lokks like this when I try to poay live chess either in Facebook or in Chess.com. It was OK until some days ago and now this: 
ths same issue , I don't play....
It seem that google not work , on mozilla is good !

There have been other topics where staff have posted. There were two issues and one of them is a malformed cookie when loading from Facebook. I was able to create the problem last week and solved it by clearing cache and cookies and then not loading the site through Facebook.

Tehn, now I have a new issue I cannot load it from any other place as I created it with from my FB account. If I wanna use an Email it asks me for a "password" and a mail, which I never had in 1st place.
I also have tried using Mozilla but same thing.

How could I load it not from FB if I created the account for the 1st time in FB? I`ve tried and cannot do it as it asks for a passwrod. I never created one.

You can. Clear everything, Go to www.chess.com or www.chess.com/login. Chose the Facebook button. That does not load the Facebook Chess.com app, or at least it doesn't from someone that had an account linked; not absolutely positive how that works if you only have the one. But you can test it easily.

What do you mean "clear everything"? I use firefox. What I have to do?

Clear your cache and cookies.
In Firefox, Options and under History, remove individual cookies. You can try just doing ones from chess.com but it might be easier to do all; I don't know right-off how the Facebook app sets the cookies.
That might be all you need to do, haven't fully tested but I would also suggest clearing cache under Advanced > Cached Web Content and Clear Now
Then use the main website link to sign in and test on the main site, not Facebook.
I was able to solve the problem by reverting to the old style of chess
I can see the board again but now I can't see anymore the flag for " resign" !

I couldn't see the chess the board in live chess. I updated Firefox and adobe flash but still have the same issue.
