When opening the play menu, the focus mode and theatre mode buttons appear briefly and disappear almost immediately.
They then proceed to hide until I reload the tab, and disappear again almost immediately.
Now I've lost a second game because I literally cannot see the pieces.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Check your browser zoom level. If the zoom is too high, you can't enable Focus Mode.

Oddly, I was on the default 100% zoom to begin with, and that was where it was having trouble.
It appears that the functionality is not operational on the computer I am currently using to compose this message. Interestingly, my other computers, which run macOS, function without any issues. However, the device I am presently using, operating on ChromeOS, experiences difficulties. Hence, I recommend that Chess.com investigates this matter, as it seems to be specific to the ChromeOS platform.

Thank you for informing me about this. I did notice others mentioning it and attempted that approach initially. I tried adjusting the zoom level from 10 percent to 300 percent, but regardless of the browser's zoom level, the icon did not appear. Furthermore, it doesn't show up under the live chess settings either. Typically, there's a toggle switch to enable always-on focus mode, but this feature doesn't appear on a Chromebook.
