It may be a newer bug. I have seen one other topic about it but haven't had time to test.

Hi all,
Thanks in advance for any help. Due to the number of rude/abusive players I have my chat settings set to 'friends only' on the Android App. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working - I've tried both disabled (for everyone) and friends only and I still see messages popping up.
I've tried clearing the cache and the data for the app and I've tried removing and reinstalling it from the Google Play app store but same result.
Any ideas?
